More to come from Kiko

Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted Federico Macheda has "something special", while the young Italian striker's team-mates have accepted he is now a genuine option up front.

Rome-born Macheda clearly has an eye for the spectacular. Having come off the bench to score a stunning winner on his debut against Aston Villa, he followed it up with an instinctive touch to provide a 2-1 victory at Sunderland.

"He has got something special about him, the boy," admitted Sir Alex. "He's just got that instinct that goalscorers have. He has good movement and he's quick.

"He isn't fazed by anything, and he got involved as soon as he came on, he had a really good 20 minutes for us."

'Kiko' may still be in his teens, but Macheda offers a real threat as back-up to United's regular forwards.

"It's great to be able to bring on a young lad like that," says Scholes. "He scored with his first or second touch, he looks like a great goalscorer and there's hopefully more to come from him."

Reds goalkeeper Ben Foster likes the confidence Macheda has shown. "It's a fantastic story," he said. "It was an unbelievable goal last week and he’s done it again.

"He’s saying it was a deft touch into the corner but I don’t think many of the lads are believing him!

"But I'm really pleased for him. He’s thoroughly deserving of his chance because he's been doing it in the Reserves all season."

From relative unknown to overnight hero, it's a lot of attention to be heaped on his young shoulders. But he is an assured and confident young man and has the right people with the right intentions surrounding him.

"I think the players will help there," adds Sir Alex. "I had a chat with his family this week, so he'll be ok I'm sure."

"He's quite a level-headed lad, actually," adds Foster. "I don’t think any of the lads will let him get carried away – Gary Neville puts his foot down with anything like that."

Golfing for Beginners: Part I

By Rhys Jones

The sport of golf has really boomed in public awareness over the last 45 years. It has produced fantastic world-champions such as Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman and Tiger Woods and world-renowned courses like St. Andrews, Sunningdale, Pinehurst ans Augusta.

Why has golf become so popular these days? Its the opportunity to be outside, to get a good whole body workout, network with friends or business colleagues at a leisurely pace, and to play a game that you can never play perfectly.

Your scorecard, over time, will demonstrate your improvement, which keeps you playing time and time again.

Here is a very basic lesson in golf for the person who hasn't a clue about the game.

The typical round of golf is played on a course of eighteen holes, each or which has its own 'par'. Par is the total number of shots it should take a player to complete that hole, ie all the tee shots (drives), fairway shots, chips (short shots onto the green) and puts into the hole.

This 'par' value is based on the length and difficulty of the hole in question. Pars range from three to six, so if you get the ball into the hole in four shots on a 'par four' hole, you made 'par'. However, if you took three shots, it's called a 'birdie' or five shots a 'bogie'.

There are usually "hazards" of some sort or other on all the holes. Bodies of water, sand traps, and trees are strategically placed to make reaching the hole more challenging. Beginner golfers should seek to find courses to play that are easier to play with fewer hazards.

Each player keeps his or her own score, marking the total number of shots for each hole. At the end, each person adds up their scores - the one with the lowest number is the winner.

It is important for beginner golfers to not take themselves too seriously. It takes a long time to get good at this game; even though the professionals make it look so easy.

A good tip is to get the basics right from the start by taking a few lessons from the course 'pro', because then you will learn the correct posture and swing.

Fishing Tricks

By Sam Murphy

Keen fishermen know that catching large fish or game fish is harder than it sounds. It takes a seasoned fisherman to do this with relative easy and style. If you are only just starting out you will most likely struggle. Catching large fish is an art that needs to be acquired in time.

The easy part is learning these knots from a mate or a book, but try to do them again next time and suddenly you cannot remember the right moves anymore. The problem with this is that if you are an unseasoned fisher, then you won't have enough experience to remember. That is when you ned a better system to help you learn.

Therefore you need to find out all you can before you head out onto the open water and get a good grasp on which areas are to be avoided and which one are hot.

A great way to sneak some details on how to tie fishing knots is in your local pub. There you get a crowd of likeminded folk who are happy to help you out. Plus it makes for an entertaining night out.

When it comes to kitting yourself out for your first fishing adventure follow the advice of the pros. They already know what it takes to catch fish successfully and are happy to help you with their advice.

Your fishing equipment needs to be of good quality and it pays to pay a little more from the start to avoid wasting money. Ask in your tackle shop and they will be happy to guide you along. Pay for good mid-range lines and reels to keep them longer functioning.

Bait and tackle is another much discussed term among the fishing crowd. Each fishermen is only to quick to point out why a particular bait and tackle won't work for you. In the end, these are often hobbies and not a necessary item of your equipment unless you are prepared to get right into the topic.

Except giving you their most successful fishing ground, most fishermen are only too happy to help out a new person to the sport. You will most likely find new friends and manage to catch more fish each and every time you are out on the water.

Fishing is a great sport and relaxing to boost. Just you, the lake and the sun. What else would you want.

Learning About Mountain Bike Frames

By Kim Masters

A mountain bike depends upon its design, and the design is basically a structure of the frame. In other words we can say that a frame is used as the same way a skeleton is on the human body. Bikes are prepared on the basis of human body.

A variety of frames are available in different material for the bike to full fill different purpose which directly affect the performance of the bike and weight of the bike. Steel and aluminum frames are available which are heavier and lighter and alloys also affect the weighting capacity of the bike. These frames are mending for fast riding and are finished gently for better performance on the road.

For tracks located in the mountain areas, the frames used in bikes to ride in those areas are made from aluminum due to its specific capability of flexibility and more lighter in weight. The aluminum used in those bikes which are made for free riding and down hill biking and these frames can also hold a lot of rough handling.

The performance of a bike is directly dependent on the size of the frames of the mountain bike. The center of gravity is much higher of a larger frame and eventually the bike holds more weight. And upon traveling from bumpy slops the bike will move more stable. The result would be the bike will not balance at a slower speed and lifting it would be difficult.

Mountain bikers can use a smaller and larger aluminum frames in their bikes depending upon the speed of their journey and for jumping across a ditch. Therefore while jumping from a ditch a smaller frame is more useful because it has the ability to maneuver fast and is lighter to handle. Therefore, for the purpose of free riding a bike with a smaller frame is more recommended.

The rear suspension is very difficult to include in a mountain bike with a relatively complex frames since the frame has to handle all types of suspension that is installed. Therefore inclusion of rear suspension is a complex addition in the main frame of the mountain bike.

According to my point of view, your heart plays an important role in the human body, brain and kidney are also play a key role. This is just like the role of frame in the mountain bike. And the performance of mountain bike depends on its use. We need to select the right hand frame of the bike according to the need of the frame of mountain bike.

How Regular Practice can Improve Your Golfing Skills?

By golfmasterjj

Playing golf gets more interesting when your putting abilities are amongst the best. You could improve your gaming skills if you practiced regularly and took care to change some minor areas of the game.

Once you have learned what you need to do, practice the skills until you have them mastered. What does a good putting skill mean to golf?

Though practice is necessary for perfecting any skill, the exact skills you need to practice usually varies according to the individual player.

As a general rule of thumb, there are three things that you need to specifically focus on in order to get the best golf game possible. This is the first skill you ought to improve on. Hitting the center is critical, or you would never master the art of putting. The ball can not just go straight, if it is hit by the side of the club head. Irrespective of how much practice you have put in, this is just impossible and would only result in frustration from your sub-optimal performance.

Once you are confident of hitting the ball by the center of the club head, you need to ensure that you hit the ball absolutely in a straight line aiming at the target. This means if the ball needs to go 2 feet away from you towards the lake, you would not want to aim the ball towards the tree beside it. It might sound odd but not many people know how to hit the ball specifically at the target. They keep wondering what went wrong.Even a slight deviation would put your putting skills to jeopardy as the ball would have missed the target and gone elsewhere.

This particular aspect of your game ought to get renewed attention and more practice. What does it mean when you miss a target? Only more practice can help you overcome this problem. This is something you could even practice in your office or bedroom or at home using a small home putting kit. A visit to the driving range is unlikely to help you while you are practicing this skill.

While you are at the task of improving your putting skills, the second lesson is to know how to push forward your club head forcefully as it is about the contact the ball.

One of the most common mistakes players makes is to slow down the club just before hitting the ball. This causes a loss in momentum, badly needed for the ball to hit the target. Just this lesson is enough to improve your putting skills and should assure you of a more challenging gaming experiences in future.

Best Beach in 2008: Caledesi Island State Park

By Ella Jean Beauclaire

Islands and state parks together result in protected beauty graces the gulf coast off of Clearwater Florida. Caledesi Island beach has been voted the number one beach in the U.S. in 2008. The only man-made additions have been the ranger station, concession, marina, playground, picnic areas, gift store and shower/bathroom facilities.

Getting to Caledesi is by boat only. A Caledesi ferry is available for a low fee to get you across the water in 15 minutes. The ferry runs every hour from 10 am to sundown. Ferry passengers are allowed to stay for four hours, though I would check that out as the rules may have changed for longer stays. You can also take your own boat and dock it at the marina # 108 and register with the ranger. If you love to walk, you can actually walk from Clearwater to Caledesi Island, which is about an hour from Pier 60.

Private boat users can access electrical and water hookups. Leave the pets elsewhere or keep them on a leash, which also results in being only in designated areas if you have a pet with you. Caledesi is a day trip as there is no camping, though sleeping in your boat may be an option.

Live shells, including sand dollars, are not to be taken. Otherwise, enjoy the shelling, kayaking, fishing, sunbathing, public picnic areas or rented picnic facilities, playground for the children if the beach is not enough. Kayak rentals are through the Caf Caledesi.or a vendor near the beach. Check ahead of time regarding fishing licenses. This Gulf beach is 3 miles long with beautiful water, not deep for those with young children.

They say to bring a sweater and good shoes, but as I write this, it is a warm 78 degrees F at 11 am at the end of March, so think swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen also. Public showers and restrooms are available. A lifeguard is on duty from the end of May to beginning of September. Beach wheelchairs are available from the ranger. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented. Have fun and respect the beauty of this natural resource.
